Howard Gordon's Biography

~Gordon is a self thought relief carver who
started furniture carving in 1977. He has
developed his own unique style using mainly
western red cedar for it's diversity in a colour and
grain. Wildlife, dipper ships, and portraits are
now his speciality since he entered competitive
carving in 2000, winning many awards along the
way. Gordon teaches night school carving
classes at Brookfield High in Ottawa.
~Gordon love's to spend the summers at his
cottage commuting with nature.
~Gordon's studio is in his newly built house
addition.
~Gordon is an active member of the Ottaouias
Wood Carver's association and attends regularly
the Cluth (a weekly wood carvers get together
where carvers exchange information and help
each other).
